Unity is probably the best publicly available game engine nowadays, featuring the component-based approach, allowing fast prototyping and quite easy development process. However AAA game engines are already using an even newer approach called ECS (entity-component-system). I’m going to describe the benefits and drawbacks of ECS and tell you how you can use same architecture in your Unity project.​
